We are thrilled to announce that from September 2018, we will be donating money from every sale to Warchild UK.
Here at The Mother Maker HQ, we are passionate about our roles as mothers, what it means to be a mother, and how fiercely protective we can be. Seeing the difficulties that some children are faced with, particularly in war torn countries, breaks our heart, and even if we can help even in a small way…
As an official supporter of Warchild , we are excited to be contributing to their programs and help raise money to support these amazing projects. In particular, their program on education and child protection in the Syria and the surrounding areas is something we are really passionate about. Some children have spent their entire lives in refugee camps, and others have seen their communities destroyed, their schools and hospitals bombed and their family members injured or killed. As a result of millions of people behing displaced, children are subject to child marriage, abuse, and illegal child labour. The need for child friendly places for these children to develop and grow is absolutely imperative in providing a stable future for them. Learning, having fun, engaging with teachers, making friends and having a routine is something that we can take for granted, and something that over 3 million children are missing out on. Not to mention the unspeakable brutality and violence that they have witnessed, with most of them not knowing any different.
