It helps skin retain its moisture and has antimicrobial and disinfectant properties. Coconut oil contains vitamin E with skin-nourishing properties. Primarily composed of saturated fats and medium-chain fatty acids, which not only help to repair the skin barrier and trap water, they also reduce inflammation. Its combination of anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-bacterial and hydrating properties makes coconut oil truly unique. Research has shown that from the use of coconut oil, skin hydration improves and surface lipids remain intact. Softens and nourishes dry skin. Apricot Kernel Oil has a high Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA) content which enables the skin to maintain its moisture balance. Hydrating and anti-inflammatory, it is a natural moisturizer for any type of skin. Shea butter comes from the nut of the Shea tree that is indigenous to Africa. It is easily absorbed and can soothe, hydrate and balance your skin. Shea butter is a great moisturizer and has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. We use raw unrefined Shea butter that contains vitamins A, E as well as essential fatty acids. Beeswax helps to calm irritated and dry skin, it is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. Its natural barrier properties help to create a protective layer against irritants, while still allowing the skin to breathe. Great source of vitamin A, beeswax helps to lock in moisture for soft, supple, hydrated skin. Potentially beneficial in the treatment of nappy rash and other bacterial skin conditions. Lavender has antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic and analgesic properties which also make it highly effective soothing the skin. It has a long history of use in natural remedies also thanks to its calming scent.
